Adobe Creative Suite

After using ink and paper to conceptualise my ideas, I then turn to a mixture of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to layout pixel perfect website designs.

My design career was born into the world of print so I've picked up lots of artworking skills along the way.

I've artworked everything from stationery, glossy magazines and intricate direct mailshots through to museum exhibitions and packaging.

Illustration / Flash Animation

From time to time I do like to create simple graphic characters.

I then like to bring these characters to life by converting them into vector illustrations and importing them into Flash where they are joyfully animated.

HTML / CSS

June 2007 – Present

I've only been coding since summer 2007 but I now have enough knowledge to build the 'lions share' of my front ends using HTML / CSS with Dreamweaver.

Still a lot to learn when it comes to coding but I like to think my true strength lies in the design and communication process.

I have enough knowledge to know what can and can't be achieved with code but as we all know this changes on a daily basis.

Art Direction

Throughout my design career I have art directed various location, people and product photo shoots for national and local clients.

I've directed shoots for Sainsbury's magazines to Wimpey Homes annual reports, O2 products to busy factories, ladies boutiques to sandwich fillers for Ginsters.

I've been lucky enough to work with Magnum photographer Gueorgui Pinkhassov on a London Property book. Clearly no art direction here but a great experience.
